Let us introduce you to the student who is killing it on her healthy eating & transformation journey

There is an aura about Ellie that draws people in, her presence lights up a dull room which makes it no surprise that she has been influencing and encouraging people from all over with her blog. Today is no different, she’s sat working on some new content in the chilled lounge of her accommodation with tunes blaring out of a communal retro radio.

In past blogs and posts Ellie has spoken out about her nerves when faced with battling a ‘big bad gym’, she reminds us that despite everything, she’s still as down to earth as us, understanding that everyone needs to start somewhere. "The big gyms can be quite scary when you first start, especially if you don’t know what you’re doing. I would say educate yourself first using YouTube home workouts, or looking at fitness blogs" and don’t be afraid to ask for help, Gym Inductions can be a good way to gain basic knowledge from a trained instructor, she adds.

Her top tip is eating in moderation, “I don’t really care if I eat a lot more one day because everything that I am giving my body is good, I know eating a lot of greens some days isn't going to do me harm”. But how do we avoid stuffing our faces with chocolate! We know that everyone is guilty of a sweet tooth from time to time, but how do you curb those cravings?  “With moderation! I also have a really bad sweet tooth and I used to eat a lot of crisps and chocolate! It’s just about using healthier alternatives like refined sugars, so dark chocolate instead of milk and natural sugars such as honey!

I’m a very visual person, I like to write things down so I use calendars and lists a lot” she says whilst holding her phone that has a hand-written shopping list attached to the back of it. This obviously helps with time management, which is evidently an important factor of being a successful blogger. But in terms of blogging she also advises that aesthetic is another very important factor. “People will decide in seconds if they want to stay on the page or not so it’s good to get a clear, clean layout going from the start”. (Aside from a good aesthetic) “It’s important to give out relevant, consistent content. Choose a topic and then post regular material that will engage with the followers who are interested in your theme and layout”.

Laughing throughout, she thanks us for being so nice, really though the pleasure is ours! Make sure to follow her on Instagram (@ellie.hunterblog) to stay up to date with her exercise clips, food snaps and recipes.
